The Heat

Sandra Bullock stars as Sarah Ashburn, an FBI agent who is one the smartest, hard working, and overachieving yet lonely agents in the Bureau. The films begins with Sarah and many agents coming to a house in New York City to bust two thugs for possession of cocaine. When they show up, it looks like the thugs have nothing. However, Sarah is too smart for them. She sees a plate of meat on top of a table to distract the drug sniffing dog from the cocaine hidden under it, and knows where they are hiding their weapons. This bust gives Sarah's boss Hale (Demian Bichir) further reason to give her the promotion, even though they both know that nobody likes her. Before she can get that promotion, she is assigned to work in Boston to bring down a big time drug lord. Meanwhile, Boston local officer Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy) is watching an ordinary man (Tony Hale) try to pick up a prostitute. After busting the man, she runs into a drug dealer (Spoken Reasons) who she catches holding a joint and with the man still in the back of her car, Shannon chases down drug dealer Rojas. When Sarah and Shannon first run into each other, Shannon is not happy with Sarah, and they do not get along while reluctantly working together. Meanwhile, Shannon's brother Jason (Michael Rapaport) is finishing doing time and getting clean however he is still in trouble with the drug dealers.

$Watch Frankenweenie Sflix-Frankenweenie follows a young boy whose dog is hit by a car. After learning about the effects of electricity in science he uses it to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life. When his secret is discovered he will have to try and convince his parents as well as the town\'s people that Sparky is not the monster that he appears to be. Fans will be happy to know that this is a welcomed return to form for the Tim Burton we all loved. The film is beautifully creepy in both visual and story. Fans of the original classic will be happy to know that while they obviously expand and change the story up a bit, they still manage to include just about every aspect of the original in this new format. The voice acting is well done, with the real scene stealer being Martin Landau as a science teacher with a strong resemblance to the late great Vincent Price. It is an amazing visual experience on top of a clever execution of storytelling of the tale of Frankenstein. There are some truly strange and fun characters that have Tim Burton\'s imagination all over them and create a world like only he can. Of the stop motion films he has been involved with previously, this is easily the best one as a whole delivering one of the most unique experiences in some time for both Burton\'s work and just something different in theaters. There are some aspects in the middle of the film that some might find a bit slow, but in a way that seems more necessary than not. The 3D works really well when utilized, but for the most part didn\'t seem like there was any focus on using it much at all.$

The bosses suspect Markie Trattman (Ray Liotta), the game\'s manager who is more guilty for his negligence than his complicity. Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), an efficient and clinical hit man is brought in by a mysterious lawyer (the ever great Richard Jenkins) - with connections to an unidentified network of authorities inside and out of the underworld - to clean up the entire mess.$

The Perks of Being a

$Watch The Perks of Being a Wallflower Sflix-The Perks of Being a Wallflower is another story about a simple guy living in a cruel life of high school. The difference is he\'s not ought to save the day, wants to lose his virginity, seeking to be popular, or revenge on his bullies. The story is about a shy kid who wants to get along with people and can\'t wait to leave high school. Behind it is the genuine pain and emotion of the characters which makes it more than just another story about teenagers. Stephen Chbosky tells his own story on screen pretty well and the performances are quite excellent. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is often heartbreaking, charming, and wonderful. Charlie is palpably just another teenage protagonist, but he is not one of those who tries to prove everyone who mistreated him wrong. His goal is to get away from being anti-social and be like anyone else in high school. We may have heard a story like this before, but what makes this one extraordinary is when it mostly depicts the darkest aspects of their lives. Expressing the most heartbreaking truths about these teenagers. Knowing their problems easily makes it reasonable for us to care about them. The romance is rather credibly lovely than a mainstream claptrap. In the joyous moments, it\'s pretty delightful and plays a quite nostalgic soundtrack. The film gives the actors some nuance. This is probably a good thing for Logan Lerman. He usually plays the simple charming guy in movies. Since he\'s good at those, he adds some credibility to Charlie. Emma Watson is likable enough as Sam. The best among the three is Ezra Miller. One might hams it up for Patrick, but Miller gave the character a genuinely wonderful personality. The director and author, Stephen Chbosky, didn\'t try anything else than to bring his book to life. He tells it straightforward on screen with plenty of strong, effective emotions. The cinematography is bright and beautiful enough. The tunnel scene has the best shots. While the soundtrack is too conspicuous, the music score is noticeably melancholic. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is best if you can actually relate to the lead character or have experienced the struggles of being an adolescent. When it\'s not depressing, the film goes to those blissful moments that make us remember the good times in high school. Overall, it\'s a great film. It\'s a film adaptation that replaces the cliché mainstream swagger with some painful realities and simply let the audience understand the whole point of it. In the end, it\'s quite a remarkable film.$

After he performs it, he finds himself back in the city only to see physical representations of how advertisements and marketing are sucking the will power out of people, becoming slaves to the system (this is where most of the trailer footage comes from). When he figures out what he\'s seeing, he ends up formulating a plan of using the same tactics used to turn people into cattle to crush the forces that enslave human will...but at what cost?$

$Watch Trouble with the Curve Sflix-A great film for sports fans and non sports fans alike. Great drama and acting by Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams. They really make a believable father and daughter. Justin Timberlake was also good as a washed up pitcher turned baseball scout. It follows a story of a baseball scout (Eastwood) who is getting towards the end of his career, and scouting the potential number one pick for the Atlanta Braves. Eastwood is definitely getting up there but he can still act and plays this part perfectly. The film moves along good, and is enjoyable from start to finish. It has laughs, drams and some romance. Great for a couple or for the family. An added bonus if you\'re a baseball fan.$
